Your Steps

Step 1: Submit and application online

We're pleased to now offer two ways to submit your application to us! You can instantly submit your application to us online right now, or if you prefer, you can download a printable application and mail or fax it to our office.

Step 2: Interview

Once we receive your application, we will call you to schedule an interview. All interviews are by appointment only.

When you prepare for your appointment please bring your employment history, with names, telephone numbers and dates of employment. Volunteer experience is also helpful, so bring that information as well. Your Social Security Card and Driver's License should also be on hand.

If you have any certificates, letters of reference, etc. bring them too. We may copy some documents and/or advise you to take them when meeting with the families.

Step 3: We Refer You For Jobs

Once we have verified your references, we will tell you about available nanny positions that would meet your requirements. You may be interested in one job, or several. The Nanny Network will refer you to the families you are interested in interviewing with.

Step 4: Interviews With The Family

After a family reviews your application they will call you to schedule an interview. Be sure to return their calls promptly. Most families will meet you at their homes, but some will choose another location. If your initial interview goes well, you may be asked back for a working interview. This will allow for some additional interaction with the children and you should be paid for your time.

During the process of your interviews, we keep an open communication with you to help ensure your questions are answered. The Nanny Network will continue to make you aware of new opportunities as they come in until you have accepted a job.

A Note On Your Commitment

Unless otherwise stated by the family, most positions will require a one year commitment. Common exceptions would be After School Nannies, who are asked to commit for one school year, or Summer Nannies who would commit for one summer only. Temporary Nannies are committed only for the length of accepted temporary assignments.

We provide our families with a Nanny Family Agreement to complete with their nannies. This agreement is mutual and simply outlines what you are agreeing to do for the family and vice versa. The Nanny Family Agreement allows for up front, clear communication and addresses many issues that are often overlooked until they become a problem. It also discusses salary, vacation, etc.

We find that a clear understanding of expectations is a vital part of ensuring a good relationship with your employer and makes it easier to fulfill a commitment.
